Dealing with Exhaustion
A letter to all my sisters who are tired of being strong all the time.
Dear Sis,
Your feelings are justified, baby. Always remember, through the tough seasons and hardships, your sweat has not been wasted. I completely understand that it’s frustrating, especially when you are trying and it seems like nothing is working out. Always remember that it is okay to take a break and to have a regular self-care routine. In fact, taking care of yourself should be one of your top priorities.
I know you have to work twice as hard to even get half of what they have and that can be stressful at times. Always remember that not everyone could face half the obstacles you’ve triumphed over. You’ve been through many faces of life and although it’s exhausting, you should know that at the end of this long-ass tunnel, nobody and nothing can stand in the way of your breakthrough. It may be dim at times and shine even brighter at times, but no matter what, a star will always be a star.
